Lata Mangeshkar has passed away at 92, But her voice and songs will remain Immortal





Legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai. she was admitted to a private hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 and was also diagnosed with pneumonia.

The veteran singer had an extraordinary career spanned over 8 decades and recorded over 27,000 songs in 36 languages she was dubbed as Nightingale of India.


As the news broke out condolence, messages started to pour from across all of India

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter; I am anguished beyond words. The kind and caring Lata Didi has left us. She leaves a void in our nation that cannot be filled. The coming generations will remember her as a stalwart of Indian culture, whose melodious voice had an unparalleled ability to mesmerise people.  


 President Ram Nath Kovind wrote on Twitter; Lata-ji’s demise is heart-breaking for me, as it is for millions the world over. In her vast range of songs, rendering the essence and beauty of India, generations found expression of their inner-most emotions. A Bharat Ratna, Lata-ji’s accomplishments will remain incomparable.

The Government of India announced two-day national mourning will be observed And, the national flag will fly at half-mast. The Officials also added that a state funeral will be accorded to her.
